Tree-Hugging has been scientifically proven to improve your health!

Most of us notice almost immediate improvement in our general wellbeing when we spend time outdoors, but our fast-paced lifestyle can sometimes make it harder for us to find time for outdoor activities.

To maintain our healthy mental, emotional and physical bodies we simply have to stay connected to nature. Modern rubber and plastic-soled shoes act as electrical insulators and therefore block the beneficial flow of electrons from the earth to your body.

Your immune system functions optimally when your body has an adequate supply of electrons, which are easily and naturally obtained by barefoot contact with the Earth.

It is known that the Earth maintains a negative electrical potential on its surface. When you are in direct contact with the ground (walking, sitting, or laying down on the earth’s surface) the earth’s electrons are conducted to your body, bringing it to the same electrical potential as the earth. Living in direct contact with the earth grounds your body, inducing favorable physiological and electrophysiological changes that promote optimum health.

Regular direct contact with the ground appears to minimize the consequences of exposure to potentially disruptive fields like “electromagnetic pollution” or “dirty electricity” (coming from the gadgets we are surrounded by and using daily).

But there has been something remarkable “discovered” recently: Tree hugging has been scientifically proven to improve your health!

Contrary to popular belief, touching a tree does make you healthier. In fact you don’t even have to touch the tree to get better, just being within its vicinity has the same effect.

In a recently published book, Blinded by Science, the author Matthew Silverstone, proves scientifically that trees improve many health issues such as: mental illnesses, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), concentration levels, reaction times, depression and the ability to alleviate headaches.

Countless studies have shown that children show significant psychological and physiological effects in terms of their health and wellbeing when they interact with plants. They demonstrate that children function better cognitively and emotionally in green environments and have more creative play in green areas.

It is not just our children that need the connection with Earth. We all do.

Remember we are part of this planet and our heartbeat is in sync with the Earth’s frequency. Stay connected.

Namaste.
