The Navel (Sacral) Chakra ‚- Our Life Passions, Ambitions and Creativity

The Second Chakra, also called the Navel or Sacral Chakra is located about 2-3 fingers below our Navel, and the colour representing it is orange.

db_file_img_1851_450xautoSacral Chakra is all about our passions in life, creativity, connecting with other people and libido (our sexual energy). This chakra and its energy has been used and misused the most through the centuries, by making sexuality something bad, dirty and shameful. Sexual energy is something totally different – it’s the energy that is creative and is the essence of manifestation. It is the co-creation of male and female energy and it is not needed only to create new generations, but predominately to create wonderful things in our lives that we are passionate about, that makes us feel alive and creative.

No matter what gender we are in this lifetime, we all have an aspect of female and male energy within us. When we are using both (that is possible when our Sacral Chakra is balanced and healthy) we feel we are going with the flow, and things just come to us. Our senses are sharpened and we are not afraid or resisting changes in life. We are also deeply in tune with our emotions and their guidance.

When our Sacral Chakra is out of balance (blocked, spinning too fast or too slow, or it is way too big or too small compared to your other chakras) we might have difficulties with finding motivation and direction in life. We can be fearful of any change and feeling uninspired, uncreative. Extreme emotional swings or emotional detachment can also be a sign of an unbalanced Sacral Chakra.

How to keep your Sacral Chakra balanced:

–       Introduce more orange colour into your home/work environment. Even a nice warm orange coloured Himalayan Salt lamp can be very beneficial.

–       Eat more orange coloured fruit and vegetables, like carrots, oranges, sweet potatoes.

–       Do things that will stimulate your senses. For example have a massage, watch an emotionally charged movie (exciting, funny or teary one), go for a walk on the beach, feeling the wind, water, sun… Smelling the cleansing ocean, hearing the waves crashing…

–       Stimulate and awaken your Sacral Chakra by burning pure essential oils such as Sweet Lime and Mandarin.

–       Use/wear gemstones that resonate with Sacral Chakra, such as Carnelian.

–       Prepare your food with lots of fresh herbs. Rub them between your palms, smell them, taste them… Yes, just like Jamie Oliver does… Have you noticed how passionate is he about his life, his work? His bursting with creativity and zest for life! A perfect example of a healthy Sacral Chakra. J

Namaste.
